Our Story
What began as a family hobby, quickly became a calling in 2023. Ron and Frances, alongside their son Rob, were drawn into the craft of maple syrup production—immersing themselves in the tradition, the science, and the pursuit of excellence. Over the following years, the family attended industry conferences through the Ontario Maple Syrup Producers’ Association, deepening their knowledge and connecting with established producers across the province. These experiences revealed that maple syrup, when approached with intention and care, could be far more than a seasonal pastime.
Rob is a graduate of Sir Wilfrid Laurier University, holding a Bachelor of Business Administration. Following graduation, he spent six years in the commercial food industry as a Supply Chain and Operations Manager, working closely with small businesses and learning firsthand what it takes to build something enduring. In 2024, he chose to apply that experience to a venture of his own—and Braeburn Maple was founded.
Today, Braeburn Maple remains a family-run operation. Ron and Frances work alongside Rob throughout the sugaring season, ensuring every decision, every batch, and every bottle reflects the care, integrity, and shared passion that inspired the brand from the beginning.
